So, what Oogie Boogie Bash? Oogie Boogie Bash is a yearly ticketed Halloween event that takes place in Disney California Adventure Park at night. This event is 5 hours long where guests can meet exclusive Disney Halloween characters, trick or treat with Villains, view parades and more!

Oogie Boogie Bash has been so popular that each year the event sells out within minutes! There's even a virtual queue that we've waited in for the past for years (for up to two hours) waiting for these Disney Halloween tickets. But, since we've been going for years, we can tell you that this Disney Halloween event is worth it! We love it, especially as adults without kids, we think that Oogie Boogie Bash is a rather relaxing, spooky time for Disney lovers.

When is Oogie Boogie?

Oogie Boogie Bash is held at Disney California Adventure from August 25th, 2024 to October 31st, 2024 on select nights! The event runs from 7PM to midnight, with party guests able to enter DCA up to three hours before the event.

How to Enter Oogie Boogie Bash

Transitioning from a regular park day to the enchanting evening of Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney's California Adventure requires a special kind of magic. As the clock ticks closer to 6:00 PM, the park prepares to close its gates to regular guests, ushering in the exclusive festivities of the Halloween event. Here's how the seamless transformation unfolds:

For Guests Arriving After 3:00 PM:

If your adventure begins post-afternoon, fear not! Cast members at specific park entrances will be your guides. After stepping through the turnstiles, you'll receive a magical bracelet, your key to remaining in the park past the 6:00 PM closure. This bracelet is more than a simple band; it's your pass to an evening of unforgettable Halloween delights.

For Day-Long Adventurers:

For those who've been exploring Disney's California Adventure since morning, there's no need to trek back to the entrance as the day wanes. Instead, inquire with any helpful cast member about the closest wristband station within the park. Securing this band will weave you into the evening's new narrative, allowing you to continue your adventure into the night, immersed in the spooky spectacles and thrilling encounters that await.

Treat Trails are our favorite part of Oogie Boogie, because we love that you get to meet characters but you don't have to take traditional photos of them. Look, we love those PhotoPass photos, but for people with social anxiety, sometimes its nice to just observe. So, the characters on the Treat Trails put on their best shows and you can have your phone ready to capture the action. And there's candy!

Frightfully Fun Parade

This isn't your average parade. As the night descends, a procession of Disney characters and spectral spirits slinks through the park, providing a hauntingly fun spectacle that's equally charming and spine-tingling. This parade is mesmerizing, as not only are the characters incredible but the floats and lighting make it truly beautiful.

You can see the whole Nightmare Before Christmas cast, a plethora of villains, and even the original crew in adorable Halloween costumes. If you see the later parade in the night, make sure to see the most popular characters while everyone is watching the debut parade! It helps cut down on wait times for characters like the Sanderson Sisters. Parade times are typically 7:45 PM and 10:00 PM.

Villains Grove at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

Transformed into a mystical, shadow-filled enclave, this attraction invites guests on an enchanting journey.
